Eye troubles (update 24 May)......

26th March 2012
Just an update to explain why things have been so quiet around here recently.
On 10th Jan I had an emergency 2-hour operation for a detached retina. I seem to be making good progress from this but at the time of writing the vision in my right eye is still a bit blurry and I have this rather annoying gas bubble in it. As the bubble shrinks away my vision improves. My eye is still a bit red and uncomfortable. Hoping to get out and about with my camera this weekend.....
Update....
Had another op 28/2/12 as the retina detached suddenly one Sunday night when C and I were in a hotel room in Dunoon of all places and no ferries till morning.
2 weeks later 12/3/12 there were signs of it detaching a third time. Surgeon is now monitoring it every Monday. The goodish news is that today 26/3/12 he thinks it's improved, so no ops this week - back again next week, same time same place.
Latest edit 24 April. Saw the surgeon yesterday. Waiting for an op in about a month to do all sorts of unmentionable things which are not for the squeamish. After that the future should be (literally) a lot clearer.

Update 24 May: got done on tues. membrane peel, oil removed, cataract removed. Early days so things are a bit blurry and I have so many drops to take, but they seemed pleased with it anyway.
