Owls

17th January 2016
This has been a great winter for Short-Eared Owls at Musselburgh due to an abundance of field voles. All the local birders and photographers have been freezing themselves to death including yours truly.
You meet the same people making multiple visits because the weather has been so rotten. Occasionally there's about 2 hours of decent light in the middle of the day and out we all come. Usually it's too windy and all the owls are in hiding so we all go home again.
Here's my best few.
