PS Waverley

05th June 2016
Another item off the bucket list. Joined the Waverley at Greenock and motored down to Largs, up to Dunoon then Loch Long before doing it all in reverse.
A wee bit disappointed with the cold overcast day considering all the fine weather we've had lately. It's rather a long day so if I was doing it again I'd go from Largs.
The whole trip goes from the Glasgow Science Centre and lasts from 10am to 7.15pm.
Waverley was built by A&J Inglis of Glasgow in 1946 and is the last seagoing passenger paddle steamer in the world. The engine is rated at 2100 IHP and can attain 18.37 knots.
