Sabhal Mòr Ostaig

12th April 2016
C and I spent last week at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig in Skye. Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is a National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture. As C is a native speaker and I am a learner we each did different courses but I think we both found it quite a challenge.

On Thursday at the last night Cèilidh, each class had to perform - our group did a song (Tiugainn Leam Thar Sàile), while C's class presented some bardachd (poetry). In our group we were very lucky to have Sìne on fiddle and Seonaidh Pol on guitar to mask our deficiencies ;-)

All in all a great week - the food was excellent, the scenery stunning, the weather not bad... they offer courses for complete beginners if you're interested.
