St Kilda Trip
05th August 2016
C and I spent 6 days aboard MV Cuma with Murdanie Macdonald and his crew, Michaela and Elaine.
Sailing out of Miavaig, Lewis, we had 2 nights anchored in Village Bay, Hirta, and also visited the Monach Isles, Taransay and Scarp.
The Cuma was originally a fisheries research vessel and was built by Samuel White of Cockenzie in 1967.
The boat accommodates 12 guests, and 2017 is mostly booked already, but we were lucky to be spoiled rotten as there were only 3 of us that week.
Included below are shots of Snipe and the St Kilda Wren, and the Soay sheep.
